It’s Pierce’s first appearance in the strip, too! Which is nice, since Chevy practically draws himself. Is there a canonical spelling of “duh-doi/de-doy?” Pierce is wearing a variation of the outfit he wears in the “Young Chevy” portrait the show uses from time to time. Troy’s flashback shirt? Sideways reference to Childish Gambino: “Couldn’t see me as Spider-Man, but now I’m spittin’ venom” (lyric from Not Going Back)
